HS2 Railhead to remain at Stone

Following a recent meeting of the parliamentary High Speed Rail (West Midlands – Crewe) Bill Select Committee, it has been decided that the much contested Railhead, initially intended for Stone, will not be moved to Aldersley’s Rough, which is just south of Keele on the outskirts of Madeley Heath. This is good news for Keele.

However, the committee also decided to reject the option of placing the entire Whitmore to Madeley Heath section in a single tunnel.

You can read the entire committee report at the following link:

Do you want us to keep in touch after 25th May 2018?

We don’t want you to miss out on being the first to know about what’s going on in Keele

The law about how we use your email is changing this week, which means unless you confirm that you’d still like to receive emails from us now and again, we will have to delete your records and we won’t be able to keep you updated about the things that matter most to you.

That means important local news such as local planning applications, local events, Keele Parish Council minutes and agendas, parking issues and much more.

It’s really quick and easy to confirm that you still want to receive emails from Keele Parish Council and takes just a few seconds.

Simply email the Parish Clerk at clerk.keelepc@gmail.com or click the button below to contact us and tell us you want to continue:

YES, PLEASE KEEP ME UPDATED

If we don’t hear from you before 25 May 2018 then we are required to delete your email from our mailing lists.

You’re in control of what you get from us, and you can always change your mind at any time you wish.
